Critical Dell System Update Vulnerability (CVE-2026-86360) Allows Remote Root Privileges

Dell is urging customers to patch a critical path traversal vulnerability, CVE-2026-86360, in Dell System Update (DSU) versions prior to 2.3.0.0. This flaw, with a CVSS base score of 9.6, could allow an unauthenticated remote attacker to execute arbitrary code with root privileges, potentially leading to a complete compromise of the vulnerable application and operating system.
