Dell Urges Patches for Critical System Update Flaw (CVE-2026-86360) Allowing Root Privileges

Dell is advising customers to patch a critical path traversal vulnerability (CVE-2026-86360) in Dell System Update (DSU) versions prior to 2.3.0.0. This flaw, with a CVSS base score of 9.6, could allow an unauthenticated remote attacker to execute arbitrary code with root privileges, potentially leading to a complete compromise of the vulnerable application and operating system.
