Musk Confirms Independent Operation of Texas Terafab, Rules Out TSMC Operational Role

Elon Musk has clarified that his business empire will independently build and operate the Terafab chipmaking venture in Texas, dismissing speculation that Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co (TSMC) would take an operational role. While discussions with TSMC regarding a potential sublease of part of the site were mentioned, Musk stated that TSMC's involvement would not extend beyond that. The Terafab project aims to produce advanced semiconductors for Tesla Inc and SpaceXAI.
