GlobalFoundries and TSMC Announce $2 Billion US AI Packaging Partnership

GlobalFoundries and TSMC have finalized a multi-year, $2 billion manufacturing agreement to establish a U.S. supply of silicon interposers for TSMC's advanced CoWoS packaging ecosystem. This substantial investment is set to enhance domestic semiconductor manufacturing and AI infrastructure, with volume production anticipated to begin in the first half of 2028.
