QuantumCore Ltd. has announced the development of chip-scale magnetless cryogenic circulators, a fourth critical technology for its quantum computing infrastructure platform. These new microfabricated circulators aim to replace bulky magnetic components currently used in superconducting quantum computers, significantly reducing space requirements and enabling greater integration with other cryogenic microchips, which is crucial for scaling to processors with millions of qubits.
