Marvell, Microsoft, and Oracle Form OCP Working Group to Standardize Data Center Hardware Security
Marvell Technology, Microsoft, and Oracle have announced a collaboration under the Open Compute Project (OCP) to establish a new working group. Their goal is to standardize an integrated NIST FIPS 140-3 Level 3 hardware security module (HSM) for cloud and hyperscale data center infrastructure. This initiative aims to enhance cloud security by defining open specifications for secure key caching and cryptographic key lifecycle management directly at the server level, reducing latency and improving scalability for cloud compute workloads.
