New Quantum Model Achieves Significant Speed Increase for Single-Qubit Gates
FirstQFM has demonstrated a 33% reduction in single-qubit gate execution time on a 21-qubit QuantWare superconducting processor, maintaining gate fidelity. This was achieved using a quantum foundation model to generate custom pulse-level gate implementations, leveraging classical compute and NVIDIA acceleration. The development, at the Israeli Quantum Computing Center, represents a notable step in optimizing quantum operations and could accelerate the development of more efficient quantum computing.
