Microsoft Changes Copilot Purchasing Rules, Drops 365 Subscription Requirement

Microsoft is modifying its purchasing requirements for Microsoft 365 Copilot, effective December 1, 2026. New offers will allow customers to acquire Copilot without needing a qualifying Microsoft 365 base subscription, maintaining current pricing. Existing add-on offers will be renamed and phased out in the Cloud Solution Provider channel by the same date, simplifying access to the AI assistant for businesses.
