China Proposes Export Controls on 23 AI Technologies

China has proposed adding 23 artificial intelligence technologies to its list of prohibited or restricted exports, requiring exporters to register transfers immediately. This move, part of a broader revision covering 40 technologies, aims to prevent misuse and protect national security, impacting large AI models, agents, computing clusters, and certain chip-design technologies.
