Anthropic Unveils Claude Duet, a Proactive AI Agent Application

Anthropic has launched a research preview of Claude Duet, a new standalone AI agent application available on iOS, Android, and claude.ai for US Pro and Max subscribers via a waitlist. Built around Claude Opus 5.5, Duet is designed to proactively monitor connected apps, provide daily briefs, and notify users only when action is required. It operates with its own virtual machine and browser, and includes safeguards requiring user approval for sensitive actions, while restricting others like trading securities.
