Google Cloud and NVIDIA Announce General Availability of NVIDIA Vera Rubin AI Infrastructure
Google Cloud is rolling out A5X bare-metal instances, powered by NVIDIA Vera Rubin NVL72 rack-scale systems, designed for large-scale agentic inference and reinforcement learning. The infrastructure integrates NVIDIA Rubin GPUs, Vera CPUs, and ConnectX-9 SuperNICs with Google's Virgo networking and fourth-generation liquid cooling. Google plans to expand these deployments to 80,000 Rubin GPUs within a single site and up to 960,000 GPUs across multiple locations, with general availability scheduled for November 2026.
