BASF Expands Taiwan Semiconductor Production for Sub-2nm Chips

BASF SE is expanding its semiconductor operations in Taiwan through a Letter of Intent with the Ministry of Economic Affairs. This expansion of its Kuanyin facility will increase production capacity for high-purity specialty chemical formulations essential for advanced semiconductor manufacturing, including nodes below 2 nanometers. The move is driven by the growing demand for these chemicals, fueled by rapid advancements in artificial intelligence.
