NVision and HyperLight Partner to Develop Photonic Quantum Chips for Scalable Quantum Computing

Quantum technology company NVision has announced a partnership with HyperLight Corporation to integrate molecular qubits onto thin-film lithium niobate photonic integrated circuits. This collaboration aims to develop quantum hardware with optical connections between qubits and compatibility with established foundry manufacturing processes, establishing a path toward scalable quantum computing. NVision targets a demonstration of on-chip performance by the end of 2026, with a long-term goal of 1,000 logical, fault-tolerant qubits by 2030.
