Foxconn Aims to Become World's Largest Quantum Computer Manufacturer

Foxconn Chairman Young Liu announced the company's ambition to become the world's largest quantum computer manufacturer. Foxconn plans to build systems for companies developing the underlying quantum technology, viewing quantum computers as accelerators for specialized calculations that will complement existing CPUs and GPUs. Liu noted that commercial viability for quantum computing is still at least two years away due to significant barriers like cost and temperature requirements.
