IBS Holdings Plans HK$563 Million Acquisition of AI Chip and Edge Computing Firm

International Business Settlement Holdings Limited (IBS) has agreed to acquire QuantumCompute Solutions Limited for HK$563 million ($72.4 million). This strategic acquisition aims to expand IBS's capabilities into artificial intelligence chip design and edge computing, leveraging QuantumCompute's indirect control of Shanghai Tianjing Fulian, a specialist in low-power AI inference and edge-computing system-on-chip products. The deal seeks to create synergies with IBS's existing infrastructure and fintech operations while reducing its exposure to cryptocurrency market volatility.
