Fujifilm to Increase Magnetic Data Storage Tape Production Capacity by Fivefold

FUJIFILM Corporation plans to invest approximately 10 billion yen at its Kanagawa Factory to increase its production capacity for data storage magnetic tape by approximately five times. This investment, spanning from fiscal 2026 through fiscal 2028, aims to strengthen Fujifilm's stable supply system for magnetic tape in response to the growing demand for data archiving, particularly driven by the widespread adoption of generative AI.
