Google and NASA Partner to Develop Robotic Medical Assistant for Deep-Space Missions
Google and NASA are collaborating to create an autonomous robotic medical assistant designed to support astronauts with health emergencies and routine tasks during future deep-space expeditions, including missions to the Moon and Mars. This initiative aims to overcome the challenges of providing advanced healthcare during long-duration spaceflights where communication delays with Earth are significant. The project builds upon the Crew Medical Officer Digital Assistant, an AI platform Google and NASA began evaluating in 2025.
