Nordic Semiconductor Unveils nRF71 Series, Bringing Edge AI to Battery-Powered Wi-Fi Devices with Ultra-Low Standby Power

Nordic Semiconductor has launched its nRF71 Series of ultra-low-power Systems-On-Chip (SoCs), integrating Wi-Fi, Bluetooth LE, Thread, and edge AI onto a single chip. This new series achieves up to 20 times lower standby power usage than previous generations, enabling battery-powered Wi-Fi devices for applications like smart home and industrial IoT to run for years, with AI inference directly on the device.
