DigiCert Discloses Security Event Exposing Customer Data

Digital security firm DigiCert has informed customers about a security event that may have exposed personal information, including passports and driver's licenses. The company stated that access was limited to read-only archival information and did not compromise the ability to perform or approve validations, or request, approve, or issue certificates. DigiCert's Certificate Authority (CA) systems, which operate on separate secure network segments, were not affected.
