Equinix Expands AI-Ready Data Center Capacity with New SG6 Facility in Singapore

Equinix has announced the opening of SG6, its sixth International Business Exchange (IBX) data center in Singapore. This new facility is designed to support AI, high-performance computing, and data-intensive workloads, expanding Equinix's global footprint of over 280 data centers. With an initial investment of approximately $290 million, SG6 provides 8 MW of capacity in its first phase and features advanced cooling technologies, including liquid cooling, to accommodate power-intensive GPU deployments.
