US Air Force Selects Companies and New Site for Microreactor Program

The U.S. Department of the Air Force has chosen three companies—Radiant Industries, Westinghouse Government Services, and Antares Inc.—to develop and operate microreactors. This initiative, part of the Advanced Nuclear Power for Installations (ANPI) program, aims to enhance energy resilience and national security. Joint Base San Antonio, Texas, has been added as a third potential deployment location, with reactors expected by 2030.
