Congressional Black Caucus Urges Corporations to Oppose Republican Redistricting Efforts

The Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) has launched a national campaign calling on major U.S. corporations to oppose redistricting efforts by Republican-led states. These efforts, which the CBC describes as 'coordinated efforts to silence Black voices at the ballot box,' seek to eliminate majority-Black U.S. House districts. This move follows a recent Supreme Court ruling that significantly weakened a key provision of the Voting Rights Act, allowing states more leeway to redraw congressional maps in ways that could dilute minority voting power.
