National Park Service Acquires Key Land at Monocacy Battlefield

The National Park Trust and the National Park Service (NPS) announced the successful acquisition of a critical parcel within Monocacy National Battlefield in Maryland. The land, previously owned by the State of Vermont, is the site of a monument honoring the 10th Vermont Infantry Regiment's service in the Civil War battle that secured Washington, D.C.
