USTR Proposes New Tariffs Over Forced Labor Import Violations

The U.S. Trade Representative has proposed imposing additional tariffs on 60 economies. This action stems from a determination that these economies have failed to adequately enforce prohibitions against forced labor imports, which the USTR deems unfair to American businesses. Public comments are currently being solicited ahead of scheduled hearings next month.
