Department of Education Announces FY 2026 School Safety Enhancement Program Competition

The U.S. Department of Education, in conjunction with the Department of Health and Human Services, announced the Fiscal Year 2026 School Safety Enhancement (SSE) program competition. This program offers competitive grants to State educational agencies to develop, implement, and strengthen statewide school safety systems and physical security, consistent with findings from the Robb Elementary School shooting report.
