Gun control group sues ATF over records release

A prominent gun control organization, Brady, has filed a lawsuit against the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and the Justice Department. The lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, seeks to compel the ATF to release 'Demand Letter 2s,' which are sent to gun dealers identified as selling a significant number of guns recovered at crime scenes.
