EPA delays PFAS chemical reporting deadline until 2027

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has postponed the deadline for submitting data on PFAS chemicals under the Toxic Substances Control Act. The reporting period will now commence no later than January 31, 2027, or once a related rulemaking is finalized. This delay intends to incorporate new exemptions for minimal concentrations of PFAS, substances in imported articles, and those produced as byproducts.
