House Committee Proposes FY27 Health and Human Services Budget Adjustments

The House Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education has unveiled its proposed budget for fiscal year 2027. This bill suggests a $4 billion reduction from the previous year's enacted level for the Department of Health and Human Services. While it includes increased funding for public health infrastructure and data modernization, it also proposes eliminating the Preventive Health and Health Services Block Grant.
