President Enacts Law Protecting Alaska Native Ivory Sales

President Donald J. Trump has signed the "Alaska's Right to Ivory Sales and Tradition Act" into law. This legislation amends the Marine Mammal Protection Act, preventing states from banning the interstate commerce of marine mammal ivory, bone, or baleen produced by Alaska Natives as traditional handicrafts.
