U.S. and Iran Nearing Peace Deal, Strait of Hormuz to Reopen

President Trump announced that a deal to end the Middle East war with Iran is expected to be signed on Sunday, June 14, which would also lead to the immediate reopening of the strategic Strait of Hormuz. Qatari mediators are in Tehran to finalize the agreement, following U.S. forces downing Iranian drones targeting commercial ships in the Strait on Saturday.
