Education Department Oversight of Special Education and Civil Rights Reassigned

The Trump administration is reallocating oversight responsibilities previously held by the Department of Education. Civil rights enforcement in education will now be managed by the Department of Justice. Special education programs will fall under the purview of the Department of Health and Human Services.
