The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has introduced a Federal Elder Justice Action Plan, developed by the Elder Justice Coordinating Council, to safeguard the rights and provide assistance to older Americans. Concurrently, HHS initiated the "Never EVER" national campaign aimed at combating fraud targeting seniors. Such fraud is estimated to cost older Americans $28 billion annually.
