EPA considers classifying abortion drug mifepristone as water contaminant

The Environmental Protection Agency is currently evaluating the abortion drug mifepristone as a potential water contaminant. This review was prompted by requests from 14 state attorneys general. These officials have expressed concerns that the drug's presence in water supplies could adversely affect the fertility of the general population.
