DHS Suspends 'De Minimis' Exemption for Non-Postal Merchandise Imports

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), under the Department of Homeland Security, has issued a new interim final rule. This rule indefinitely suspends the 'de minimis' exemption for goods entering the U.S. through all methods other than the international postal network. The change is effective immediately, with a public comment period open until July 24, 2026.
