Customs and Border Protection Halts De Minimis Exemption for Many Imports

U.S. Customs and Border Protection has issued a new rule suspending the de minimis exemption for most international merchandise shipments, excluding those via the international postal network. This change, effective immediately, aims to update trade regulations that have not been significantly revised since 1995. The public can submit comments on this regulatory adjustment until late July.
