Appeals Court Reinstates Utah's Legal Challenge to National Monument Boundaries

A federal appeals court has revived Utah's lawsuit contesting the boundaries of the Bears Ears and Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monuments. The 10th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has sent the case back to a lower court. The lower court is tasked with determining if former President Joe Biden exceeded his authority when he redefined the monuments' borders in 2021.
