John Bolton, former National Security Adviser to President Trump, pleaded guilty in federal court to willfully retaining national defense information. He admitted to using personal accounts to send classified information to family members, one of which was allegedly hacked by a cyber actor linked to Iran. Under the plea agreement, Bolton could face up to five years in federal prison and a $2.25 million fine.
