Justice Department Files Antitrust Lawsuit Against Major Egg Producers

The Department of Justice, in collaboration with 17 State Attorneys General, has initiated a civil lawsuit against several prominent egg producers. The suit alleges unlawful coordinated manipulation of egg prices by Cal-Maine Foods Inc., Hickman's Egg Ranch Inc., and Versova. Proposed settlements were filed concurrently, aiming to prevent future price manipulation in the industry.
