Supreme Court Concludes Term with Landmark Rulings on Presidential Power and Citizenship

The U.S. Supreme Court has wrapped up its 2025-2026 term, issuing significant decisions that expanded presidential control over independent agencies and narrowed the scope of the Voting Rights Act. However, the Court also rejected a sweeping tariff program and, in a 5-4 ruling, affirmed birthright citizenship for children born in the U.S. to non-citizen parents.
