Supreme Court to Review Alaska Plane Seizure Case

The U.S. Supreme Court has agreed to hear a case from an Alaska bush pilot challenging the attempted seizure of his $95,000 airplane. The pilot argues that the forfeiture, stemming from a passenger carrying beer into a dry village, violates the Eighth Amendment's Excessive Fines Clause.
