Supreme Court Upholds Trump Administration's Termination of Temporary Protected Status for Haitians and Syrians

The U.S. Supreme Court rejected a challenge to the Trump Administration's decision to end Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for individuals from Haiti and Syria. The 6-3 decision in Mullin v. Doe, consolidated with Trump v. Miot, concluded that Congress eliminated judicial review of the statutory claims challenging the terminations. The Court also found that an equal protection claim, alleging the decision to terminate TPS for Haiti was racially motivated, is unlikely to succeed.
