White House Unveils Over $5 Billion in Federal Commitments for Genesis Mission on AI for Science

The White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) announced over $5 billion in federal commitments to expand the Genesis Mission, a national effort launched by President Trump's Executive Order in November 2025 to harness AI for scientific discovery. More than 15 federal agencies will contribute to this whole-of-government initiative, with the Department of Energy announcing the selection of nearly 300 projects across all 50 states to accelerate breakthroughs in energy, discovery science, and national security.
