Treasury Department Imposes Largest-Ever Sanctions Against Cartel de Jalisco Nueva Generacion

The U.S. Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) announced sweeping sanctions against over 50 Mexican individuals and entities linked to the Cartel de Jalisco Nueva Generacion (CJNG). This action, described as the largest ever targeting CJNG, aims to disrupt the cartel's leadership, drug trafficking cells, and illicit finance networks across Mexico, including its new leader Juan Carlos Gonzalez ('Pelon').
