U.S. Treasury Imposes New Sanctions on Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas Financial Networks

The U.S. Treasury Department imposed new sanctions on an Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood official and three other individuals, along with two companies, in an effort to disrupt the financial networks of the Islamist group and Hamas. The Treasury stated that the sanctioned companies are sham entities related to the Muslim Brotherhood and serve as conduits for funding Hamas's military wing.
