Treasury Department Announces Second Round of Sanctions Removals in Modernization Effort

The U.S. Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) announced the second major action in its sanctions modernization initiative, removing 84 individuals and entities from its Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons List (SDN List). This action aims to ensure U.S. sanctions remain targeted and effective by removing deceased individuals, defunct entities, and targets sanctioned over 20 years ago who are no longer considered U.S. national security or foreign policy priorities.
