Treasury Department Removes 84 Individuals and Entities in Second Round of Sanctions Modernization

This action is part of a broader sanctions modernization effort initiated by Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent in May, aiming to ensure U.S. sanctions remain targeted and effective. The removed entities include deceased individuals, defunct organizations, and targets sanctioned over 20 years ago that are no longer considered U.S. national security or foreign policy priorities.
