Justice Department Files First-Ever Case in Alien Terrorist Removal Court to Deport Woman Accused of Supporting ISIS Plot

The U.S. Justice Department has initiated the first case in the 30-year history of the Alien Terrorist Removal Court (ATRC), seeking to deport Nazira Haji Zada, a 47-year-old lawful permanent resident from Fort Worth, Texas. Zada is accused of aiding an ISIS-inspired plot for a mass shooting on Election Day 2024, for which her son and son-in-law were previously convicted. The ATRC allows the government to use classified evidence to remove individuals deemed alien terrorists.
