The Department of Justice has requested the Supreme Court issue an administrative stay to permit the full implementation of President Donald Trump's "Ensuring Citizenship Verification and Integrity in Federal Elections" executive order on mail-in voting. A district judge had previously paused portions of the order in 23 states and Washington, D.C.
