U.S. Secretary of Energy Chris Wright announced a $100 billion investment to develop a new American Energy Hub at the Department of Energy's Paducah Site in Kentucky. This landmark partnership will redevelop portions of the site into a world-class artificial intelligence (AI) high-performance computing (HPC) innovation campus, powered by new affordable energy infrastructure including 2 gigawatts of natural gas-fired generation and 2.6 GW of battery energy storage systems.
