White House Declassifies Memos Showing FBI Secretly Probed Trump as Russian Asset After Comey Firing

The White House declassified information revealing that the FBI opened a criminal probe, codenamed "Oxferd Comma," in May 2017, investigating whether then-President Donald Trump was acting as a Russian asset when he fired FBI Director James Comey. This investigation, a subcomponent of the Crossfire Hurricane probe, was launched despite existing evidence largely dismissing the notion of Trump-Russia collusion, and was later found to have no merit by the Mueller investigation. The declassified memos were released by the White House Government Transparency Task Force.
